Day 2
- Travel to Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, Lympstone
- Brief on CTCRM - An overview of the Commando Training Centre and how training is run with a detailed explanation of each training department.
- Induction and Foundation - An insight on how the Royal Marines manage recruits in the early stages of training. Methods of delivery and an overview of the Royal Marine ethos and Commando spirit.
- Ethos in Action - Looking at a recruit Troop conducting early phases of Teamwork training . Physical training overview and explanation of 'Battle Physical Training' and the attitude and ethos required to perform.
- Mission Command and Leadership - How the Royal Marines train their leaders at all levels. What it takes to lead effectively in challenging environments . Effective decision making under pressure.
- Recruit Training - RM Troop Commander - A chance to view training in action and speak to potential Royal Marines. Understand what makes them ‘tick’. Why do they want to go to war?
- Coaching Advisory Team - A chance to understand how the Royal Marines overcome performance issues. Decision making and getting the best out of the individuals.
- Executive Forum – An opportunity to reflect on and discuss what you have viewed with senior Royal Marine Officers facilitated by Trayton Vance, Managing Director, Enabling Visions
- Evening meal – Officers Mess: A formal dinner hosted by the Royal Marines. Opportunity to speak with Royal Marine officers about their operational experiences and challenges in a social environment.
Day 3
- Facilitated discussion on what was learnt from the Commando Training Visit.
- A chance to discuss how your leadership, team working and performance challenges could be addressed
- Lunch and Departures
